Slavic Club Day Trip to the Russian Orthodox Church

 We visited the Russian Orthodox Church on 93^rd Street in NYC. The service was certainly different from what everyone is used to seeing, so it was interesting to see a different aspect of Christianity.  The service lasted for about 2 hours:  We had to stand and girls were required to wear skirts.  Liturgy was in Old Slavonic. Later,  we also attended a mass in English language.  After church, we went to Russian restaurant “Samovar” on 52^nd Street and enjoyed Russian cuisine, talked about Eastern-European traditions, and had lots of fun.
