In February of 2000, members of the Slavic Club held a fundraiser for icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, which was donated to the Boland Hall Chapel in the  memory  of the three  students who died in the January 19th fire. The icon  was  blessed by Father James Spera, during a Mass at St. Joseph's Chapel in Boland Hall in order to commemorate the donation.  After the Mass, all the guests were treated to a homemade Slavic lunch.
