NJ Transit - 25% Discount Information

Seton Hall Full-time Students: Get on Board with a 25 Percent Discount on New Jersey Transit Monthly Passes

Seton Hall University full-time undergraduate and graduate students are now eligible to receive a rail, bus, and light rail monthly pass at 25 percent off the regular monthly pass price, when they enroll online through NJ TRANSIT's Quik-Tik program.

Quik-Tik offers the convenience of auto-pay combined with online account management. You will receive your student monthly pass directly through the mail and your credit card is automatically billed.

It's important to remember:

You must sign up by the 10th of the month to receive your monthly pass for the travel in the next month. (For example, for your October 2007 monthly pass, sign up on or before September 10, 2007.)
After you enroll for Quik-Tik, you will receive a new monthly pass in the mail each and every month unless you choose to suspend your account.
If you choose to suspend your monthly pass (for example during winter break), you will need to reactivate your account once again through the Seton Hall University portal (this will verify enrollment).

Getting started is easy. To initially sign up, you must login through myweb.shu.edu (also known as Blackboard, Seton Hall University's portal). At the time of login, your full-time student status is verified. If you are a full-time student you are eligible for an additional 25% discount off the monthly pass.

After full-time status authentication takes place in Blackboard, you can link through to NJTransit's QuikTik process to continue the ticket request and payment process, where you will create a "Quik-Tik user name and password." Once a QuickTik username and password account is established, you will be able to view or manage your account directly from the NJ TRANSIT Quik-Tik login. Existing Quik-Tik Users: If you have previously enrolled for discount passes in BlackBoard (myweb.shu.edu), all that you need to do is reactivate your account. Instructions for reactivation can be found by clicking on the "Learn More" button within the NJ Transit module.
