Welcome to Xavier Hall
Welcome to Xavier Hall
Xavier Hall houses nearly 520 upperclassmen and contains seven floors making it the tallest building on campus. From the top floors, you can catch a glimpse of New York City or see the leaves change color in the fall.
While living in Xavier Hall, you will enjoy the following:
v Wall-to-Wall Carpeting
v Your own Heating/Cooling Unit
v Quiet time in the Mother Seton Chapel
v A Lounge on Every Floor
v Three 24-hour Study Lounges
v A Game Room with a Pool Table, Foosball Table & Big Screen TV! (3rd Floor)
The Sophomore Discovery Program (SDP), formally known as the Sophomore Year Experience is housed on the third floor tower of Xavier Hall and consists of approximately 35 residential students. The SDP program is the Housing and Residence Life initiative to bridge the gap between the first year residential program and the upper-class residential area of residence life. The SDP program will facilitate a smooth transition to college life beyond the first year and will strive to combat the factors which lead to what is commonly known as the “sophomore slump.” The SDP program provides tailored programming efforts and deliberate one-on-one interactions with paraprofessional and professional staff to strengthen sophomore connections to the Seton Hall University community.Priests-In-Residence (PIRs): Xavier Hall is just one of the on-campus residence halls which proudly hosts the Priest-In-Residence program. As a part of this program, priests live in the residence hall amongst the students to serve as a resource. Our Priests-In-Residence attend programs, floor meetings, host Bible study, and enjoy interacting with our students. Our five PIRs include:
