Meal Plans
All residence hall students are required to purchase a Meal Plan. When completing an application/license for housing, each student must indicate a Meal Plan preference. Modifications to the meal plan selected may be made through the end of add drop each semester. For more information check out My Info Center on Blackboard and look for the University Housing & Meal Plan module.
Meal Plans can be used at Gourmet Dining Services locations, and are valid for the specified semester when classes are in session. Any Pirate Dollars left over at the end of the fall semester will carry over to the spring semester provided the student purchases a spring meal plan. Unused Pirate Dollars left on the card at the end of the spring semester are non refundable. Pirate Dollars and Meal Plans are not valid in the Bookstore. A student may donate left over Pirate Dollars to DOVE to help the needy.
Residents must purchase Meal Plan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. Commuters and apartment residents may purchase any of the aforementioned meal plans available to residents or plan 7, which is specifically tailored to the student who does not spend as much time on campus. Students may also want to consider a Seton Hall University Pirate's Gold account.
Pirates Gold Account
Pirate’s Gold is a new way for you to use your SHU ID! A Pirate's Gold account acts just like a debit account on a declining balance system. By depositing money in this account, any member of the Seton Hall community will be able to take advantage of the convenience of making purchases where our SHU ID is accepted without carrying around cash! Students, faculty, and staff have the ability to put any amount of money onto their ID cards and can completely manage their accounts online. Once a deposit is made, a participant in Pirate's Gold can start using their SHU ID around campus. From buying a textbook in the bookstore to getting a snack at the vending machine to doing laundry without desperately searching for some spare change to printing out that paper late at night when the library and computer labs are closed, Pirate's Gold makes life on campus easier and more efficient!
