Conferences

WELCOME

We invite you to explore what Conference Services at “The Hall” can offer you.  As you explore our services and facilities for summer conferences, the following information may be useful to you as you make arrangements for your conference group.

Seton Hall was founded in 1856 by Bishop James Roosevelt Bayley, the first bishop of Newark, who named it after his aunt, Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton. Mother Seton was a pioneer in Catholic education and the first American-born saint. Seton Hall is the oldest diocesan university in the United States.

Seton Hall is a major Catholic university, educating more than 10,000 students from 40 U.S. states and territories, and dozens of countries each year.  Seton Hall's park-like campus is spread out on 58-acres and houses over 35 buildings, including six residence halls. The campus is self-enclosed and has lots of conveniences including a cafeteria, laundry facilities, a theater, a state of the art library, academic facilities, and extensive wiring for network and internet connection.

Seton Hall is located in the Village of South Orange, New Jersey only 14 miles west of New York City and 10 miles from Newark International Airport.  South Orange is a suburban neighborhood with tree-lined streets and large gracious homes. The town center is just a 10-minute walk from campus and has a variety of quaint shops and restaurants as well as conveniences such as the NJ Transit train station that will take you into NYC in just about 25 minutes.

Conference groups can be accommodated between mid May and mid August.
