Immunizations
Pre-matriculation immunization requirements:
Pre-matriculation immunization requirements are established according to
the New Jersey Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, Higher Education
Immunization Subchapter 6
(N.J.A.C. 8:57-6) and Seton Hall University Policies per
recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control Advisory Committee on
Immunization Practices.
New requirement! Previously,
Hepatitis B was a recommended immunization. It is now
required that you receive three (3)
hepatitis B vaccines if enrolled for
12 credits or more, regardless of age, as
of September, 2008.
- MMR [Measles,Mumps,Rubella]: 2 doses with first
dose given on or after first birthday and second dose no sooner than
1 month after first dose.
- Tetanus-Diptheria: Completion of primary series,
documentation of booster within last 10 years.
- Polio: Documentation of completed primary series
of polio vaccine. if available.
- Tuberculosis: Mantoux [PPD] skin test within one
year of entrance with documented results.
- Meningitis: Documentation of having received
Meningococcal vaccine, a housing requirement.
- Hepatitis B: Completion of primary series (3 doses).
