counseling is a type of psychotherapy that provides the opportunity for
small groups of students to share common concerns, explore personal
issues, and learn new skills under the guidance of group leaders.

How do I join a group?
You will need to first meet with a counselor who can tell you more about group and discuss an appropriate referral.

How many people are in a group?
Groups size varies. Eight members is an average size.

How long should I attend a group?
Some groups are time-limited. They are scheduled for a fixed number of sessions (usually 6-8). Other groups are ongoing. See a counselor to see which type would be best for you!

Will others talk about what I said in group around campus?
All group members will sign an agreement to maintain the confidentiality of the group and it’s members.
