Counseling Services Hours / Location / Staff
Counseling Services provides year-round counseling,
crisis, consultative and referral services to the Seton Hall University
community. All matriculated students, both undergraduate and graduate, are
eligible for direct services, including either individual or group counseling.
Additionally, student groups and organizations can request preventive,
psychoeducational presentations, programs, and workshops that can enhance the
interactions, performance, and well-being of their members. University faculty,
staff, administrators, and alumni can receive referrals and consultations.
Students seeking counseling are encouraged call to set up appointments (973-761-9500), or can stop by in-person and request to meet with a counselor. Our offices, located on the Second Floor of Mooney Hall, are open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm; limited evening hours are available by appointment. After hours (between 5pm – 9am), and on weekends, counselors are on-duty for emergency phone consultation and crisis intervention, and can be reached by calling Public Safety (973-761-9300) and asking for the counselor on call.
