What you need to know before you go!

Body art, including piercing, tattooing, branding, and scarification are on the rise on college campuses. Before you decide to undergo any of these procedures, here are a few things to consider:

Where do I want to place the tattoo or piercing? (do I want it visible at work/home?)

What image do I want on my body? (will it embarrass me later in life?)

What diseases can be transmitted in the process? (Hepatitis, herpes, HPV, HIV, etc)

What kind of jewelry should I use? (nickel-free)

What if I change my mind...can it be removed? (Yes but costly and not always 100% effective).
