Welcome

Many people have noticed that what makes Seton Hall a special place is our strong sense of community.  No matter who you are – student, employee or visitor – while you are here on campus, we consider you a part of our community.  One of the important features of community is that we take care of each other. Unfortunately, today’s news headlines make us all too aware of frightening possibilities in the world.  While we cannot control everything that happens, your safety is our highest priority.

Below you will find important information for dealing with most emergency situations. In the event of a large scale emergency we will need people to do one of two things – either Shelter in Place/Lockdown or Evacuate.  These procedures are explained below.  Please familiarize yourself with this information so that in the event of an emergency you can respond quickly and properly.

There is also a side bar menu on this page.  It lists different types of emergency scenarios.  Click on any one of these to get more detailed information on how to deal effectively with specific situations.  Please make it a regular practice to check this site for updated information. Each member of our community is expected to be knowledgeable about safety procedures. Preparedness is an important way for us to take care of ourselves and other members of our community.
