27th. Annual Leadership Awards

 

 

Greek Organization of the Year- Given to the Greek organization who exemplifies a commitment to improving the Greek system while striving for chapter excellence. This Award is given each year to a fraternity or sorority who has shown a willingness to support the Inter-Fraternity Council and College Panhellenic Council efforts toward uniting the Greek organizations and improving Greek image.

The Robert Kelly Greek Man of the Year Award- The Greek Man of the Year Award is presented annually to the fraternity member that best exemplifies the Greek ideals of Leadership, Scholarship, and Service to the University community. Robert Kelly was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was an excellent role model to Greeks everywhere for his ability to invest everything he could to his academic life, his extra curricular life, and his brotherhood.

The Kathy Peich Greek Woman of the Year- The Greek Woman of the Year Award is presented each year to the Greek Woman that best exemplifies the ideals of sorority leadership. It is named for Kathy Peich, a student who pledged Alpha Sigma Tau in the fall of 1991. She was the epitome of the well rounded Greek-balancing a hectic curriculum, student teaching, and a job while still making time for things that were important to her, including her sorority and her University community.

Organization of the Year- Recognizes an outstanding student club or organization on campus. The Organization of the Year should have a strong membership that has supported a wide range of programs and initiatives throughout the year. The actions of the Organization of the Year should reflect the University’s vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society

Advisor of the Year- Recognizes an outstanding faculty or staff advisor of a student club or organization on campus. The Advisor of the Year should be an individual who has provided consistent service and guidance to the students in their organization while serving as a role model. The actions of the Advisor of the Year should reflect the University’s vision of being a community that educates students to be servant leaders in a global society.

University Award for Distinguished Leadership and Service- Each year the University presents the University Service award to recognize the student leader that meets and exceeds the following criteria; offers outstanding student leadership and service to peers and the Seton Hall Community; has made significant contributions to student organizations and student life on campus; exemplifies the highest ethical and moral standards and is seen as a role model by peers; and maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Mother Seton Award for Presidential Leadership- Each year the University presents the Mother Seton Award for Presidential Leadership to the student organization president that has given outstanding service to his/her peers and the campus community. The recipient of this award will have worked to strengthen communications and working relationships between his/her student organization/club, SGA, and the University. The individual should exemplify the ethical and moral standards of a global servant leader.

Resident Student Association/ Hall Council Member of the Year- This award is given to a person that has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service to our residence hall communities and a commitment to improve residential living at Seton Hall University. This award is presented to a residential student that has gone above and beyond the expected involvement of a RSA or Hall Council Member. This person exemplifies a commitment to support for Housing and Residence Life and strives to be an excellent role model

Awards will be given out at the 26th. Annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony Monday, April 21st. at 7:00pm in the Main Lounge of the Student Center.
