Learning Expectations during the Internship

Each potential intern students is asked to sign a student agreement, acknowledging that he/she agrees to conduct an ethical job search and develop professional work standards.

At the beginning of each credit bearing internship semester, the student is expected to meet with his/her department's  faculty advisor. Together, they will complete a Learning Agreement which will describe the student's learning objectives and the academic project(s) to be completed by the end of the semester. Learning Agreements are signed by the student, faculty and work site supervisor and returned to The Career Center.

The Evaluation is completed by the internship work site supervisor and assesses the student's performance during the semester. It provides important feedback designed to help the student become more effective in a professional environment.

All students complete a Reflection Exercise at the end of the semester.
