Requesting a Classroom Presentation

Career exploration and preparation workshops are offered on a regular basis during the academic year and we encourage faculty to encourage student participation. We have found that offering “extra credit” or incorporating a workshop into an existing course requirement works well.

Additionally, to address the specific needs of faculty, “customized” workshops have been developed on topics such as:

  • Career Exploration and Assessment (Focus Interpretations and Strong Interest Inventory Interpretations)
  • Portfolio Development Networking
  • Resume Writing Interviewing
  • Skills/Values Assessments
  • Online Job Searching
  • What To Do With a Major In . . . ?
  • Conducting a Government Employment Job Search
  • Behavioral Interviewing: Seeking the Right Motivational Fit
  • Networking and Promoting Yourself

To schedule a classroom presentation on these, or other career related topics, call The Career Center (973-761-9355) or email: careers@shu.edu
