FOCUS
What is it? FOCUS is a self-paced, career guidance tool that can
assist you in making some important decisions like choosing an
academic major or career. This series of online assessments is
designed to help you in the career development process by providing
you with career-related information. FOCUS can also help you decide
on career goals and action plans by increasing your awareness of your talents, interests, values, personality and
potential for success in certain careers.
How long does it take?
A
great deal of career-related information can be found in this
assessment, and we encourage you to review it as many times as you wish.

When Finished. By the time you’ve completed FOCUS, you’ll have received a
great deal of information about yourself and about potential majors
and careers. Although FOCUS will provide you with
an abundance of useful information, some of it may seem a little
confusing or overwhelming to process on your own. The best way to
understand your results is to meet with a professional from The
Career Center, who will assist you in interpreting the information.
During the meeting you’ll have a chance to discuss your results and
develop an action plan to help you achieve your academic and career
goals.
