Services: Opportunity Overview

 

The Career Center at Seton Hall University recognizes the need to assist our alumni who may be in need of professional career coaching for reasons due to career transitions, job loss, or re-entry into the workforce. As such, we are pleased to offer a variety of resources and services including career assessments, resume critiquing, individualized career development and management plans, job search strategy coaching, and access to employment opportunities and alumni networks.  

 

Please Note Updated Fee Schedule as of February 1, 2008:

  • As of March 3, 2008, all alumni have complimentary access to Alumni Navigator - a brand new recruiting and career search platform. To have your account activated, click on Alumni Navigator.

  • First year alumni have unlimited access to Career Center programs and career fairs, the Navigator/eRecruiting system, and Pirate Mentors for one calendar year from the date of graduation at no charge. First-year alumni are not eligible for internships.

  • All other alumni are charged a nominal fee for access to Career Center programs, assessments and career coaching services.  Alumni are not eligible for internships or on-campus interviewing opportunities.

  • All packages include personalized support between sessions

  • Individual Coaching can be conducted in person at our office or via email or the phone

 

Career Consultation Package - $40.00

For one calendar year (from the date of the first appointment), this package is an attractive offering for all alumni who are interested in having the following services:

  • Two (2) – 75 minute sessions with an experienced Career Professional. You help to structure your individual counseling by determining the overall goal of the sessions. Sessions can include career counseling and coaching regarding career management plans, job searching strategies or obtaining a resume critiqued, depending upon one’s unique needs.

  • Career Guide”, a 50-page career management resource published by The Career Center on topics including Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Motivational Fit and working with Third Party Recruiters.

  • Unlimited access to networking events and career fairs (with the exception of our On Campus Interviewing program. This is only available for first year alumni).

 

Comprehensive Career Assessment Package - $125.00

In addition to ALL of the resources and services outlined above in the Career Consultation Package, the Comprehensive Career Assessment Package offers several career assessment and feedback tools for transitioning alumni and includes:

  • Three (3) additional individualized sessions with a career professional for a total of five (5) sessions.

  • Interpretation of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and supporting materials to include “Introduction to Type and Careers” 

  • Interpretation of the Strong Interest Inventory and includes a detailed report and supporting materials
     

Ala Carte Fee Schedule

Alumni can select any of the following resources and professional coaching options as stand alone services or add to the packages described above. All options can be conducted in person at our office or over the phone or email. As of March 3, 2008, all alumni have complimentary access to Alumni Navigator.

  • One (1) session for a Resume critique only  = $25.00

  • Optimal Resume - ($29.00 fee)
    This fee is charged directly by the Optimal Resume system

  • Individual career coaching sessions as needed = $20.00

  • One (1) career coaching session to include interpretation of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Inventory and supporting materials, “Introduction to Type and Careers” = $45.00 

  • One (1) career coaching session to include interpretation of Strong Interest Inventory and supporting materials. = $35.00
