David Tirpak
Graduate Assistant

Center, David contributed to the mental health profession in a
partial-hospitalization program for adults. This experience
afforded him an awareness that a significant portion of
psychological distress in adults corresponded to a lack of career
generativity. Working with a student population, David aims to take
preventative measures to reduce this occurrence through support and
empowerment; helping students make informed decisions regarding
their career. David received his B.S. in Psychology from Sacred
Heart University and his M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Services from
Lehigh University. Currently, David is pursuing his Ph.D. in
Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall. His research interests include
emotional intelligence, nonverbal behavior, and training
relationships in psychology. David’s professional goals are to
become a professor in the university setting, a researcher, and a
private practitioner with emphasis on career consultation.
