Hold the Treasure in Your Wallet!

What is Pirate's Gold?

Pirate’s Gold is a new way for you to use your SHU ID!  A Pirate's Gold account acts just like a debit account on a declining balance system.  By depositing money in this account, any member of the Seton Hall community will be able to take advantage of the convenience of making purchases where our SHU ID is accepted without carrying around cash!  Students, faculty, and staff have the ability to put any amount of money onto their ID cards and can completely manage their accounts online.  Once a deposit is made, a participant in Pirate's Gold can start using their SHU ID around campus.  From buying a textbook in the bookstore to getting a snack at the vending machine to doing laundry without desperately searching for some spare change to printing out that paper late at night when the library and computer labs are closed, Pirate's Gold makes life on campus easier and more efficient!

How to get started with your new Pirate's Gold account!

As long as you already have a valid SHU ID, you can start using your Pirate's Gold card today!  Your first step is to deposit money onto your Pirate's Gold account to activate it by either making a deposit online, or in person in the Campus ID office.

Students, faculty, and staff can make deposits online to their Pirate's Gold account in addition to managing their account by viewing their history and  balance.  Parents can also make deposits on their student's account!  This can only be used for credit and bank card deposits and take effect instantly.  Simply go to our PIRATE'S GOLD CARD ONLINE page and get started!

Visit the Campus ID office in Duffy Hall, Room 63 to make a cash, check, or credit card deposit.  Deposits are processed immediately for the cardholder's use.

*If FINANCIAL AID is the source of your deposit, the following will occur: FILL OUT A DEPOSIT SLIP in the CAMPUS ID OFFICE.  This will be electronically sent to Bayley Hall for verification and deposit.  The process will be completed within 48 hours if funds are available.

Once a deposited is made into your Pirate's Gold account, you will NEVER lose any money that is not used nor will you be charged any fees.  Active accounts remain open all year long and balances carry over each semester.  You can close your Pirate's Gold account at the end of the semester or upon withdrawal from the University.  

Where you can use your Pirate's Gold

Once your account is activated by your deposit, you are ready to use your Pirate's Gold account where it is accepted.
