We have a lush, beautiful campus now, and we would like to see it continue to grow into a lusher, more beautiful campus in the future. Much in accordance with Seton Hall and the Catholic Church's commitment to environmental sustainability, Pirate Green develops programs and initiatives to educate, transform, and "greenify" our South Orange Campus. We are constantly looking for more partners and innovative ideas to develop and sustain an environmentally accountable campus.

Current Initiatives:

    - Revamping campus recycling practices

    - Increased electronic advertising

    - Energy efficient practices in laundry and residence halls

    - Paper-Free Classes

    - The sigining of the Talloires Declaration

Completed Initiatives:

    - The availability of FairTrade coffee and other products in the Cove

    - Introduction of organic vegetables into Gourmet Dining

    - Introduction and literacy about the Talloires Declaration
